Datenna returns to the SCSP AI+ Expo — and the stakes have never been higher

For the third year running, Datenna sponsors the premier gathering of government and defence leaders shaping allied AI advantage

For the third year running, Datenna is sponsoring the SCSP AI+ Expo — the premier gathering of government officials, defence leaders, and technology companies working to secure allied advantage in the AI era. This year's event runs from 7–9 May 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C., and we will be there.

Why SCSP matters to our mission

The Special Competitive Studies Project was founded on a direct question: what does it take for the United States and its allies to maintain a decisive advantage in critical technologies? That question sits at the centre of everything Datenna does.

China's defence industrial base does not operate in isolation. It is embedded in a vast network of civilian companies, university laboratories, state-owned enterprises, and front entities that source technology, capital, and talent from across the world — including from allied nations. The challenge for governments, export control authorities, investment screening bodies, and corporate risk functions is to see that network clearly, and act on what they see.

That is the intelligence problem Datenna was built to solve. The SCSP AI+ Expo brings together precisely the community that needs to understand and act on this challenge. Being present is not a marketing exercise. It is a working session.

Building on last year's momentum

Our sponsorship in 2025 opened doors that have since become active working relationships. We met teams from across the US government and defence community grappling with the same core problem: the data existed to identify risk, but the infrastructure to surface it, synthesise it, and brief it at speed did not. Datenna is that infrastructure.

Returning in 2026, we are bringing a materially stronger platform. The Find → Brief → Track architecture that underpins the Datenna product has evolved significantly, and Q — our AI intelligence layer — is now in advanced development. The conversations we are most interested in at this year's expo are not introductory ones. We want to be talking to teams who are ready to operationalise.

What we will be showcasing

Export control and technology transfer

Identifying whether a prospective counterpart has ties to China's military-civil fusion ecosystem — across ownership chains, personnel links, and procurement patterns — before a licence decision is made.

Investment screening

Supporting CFIUS-adjacent analysis and allied equivalents by surfacing the ultimate beneficial ownership structures and state linkages of incoming investors.

Defence supply chain integrity

Mapping sub-tier supplier exposure to Chinese-controlled entities in critical component categories — semiconductors, advanced materials, and dual-use electronics.

Datenna Q: AI-assisted intelligence briefing

A live preview of our AI intelligence layer — Q — which transforms raw OSINT into structured, auditable briefings. Built for analysts who need answers in minutes, not days.

Who should come and find us

If you work in export control, investment screening, defence procurement, intelligence analysis, or technology policy — and China's defence industrial ecosystem is part of your threat landscape — we would like to talk. We are particularly interested in meeting teams from US government agencies, defence primes, allied government partners, and any organisation navigating the intersection of technology and national security.

Datenna is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates across both sides of the Atlantic. The SCSP AI+ Expo is our primary North American engagement of the year, and we come with capacity to take on new partnerships.

Meet Datenna at the AI+ Expo — May 7–9, Washington D.C.
